SEATTLE, Wash. /Mortgage and Finance News/ — Nonprofit fund accounting and software specialist, Vicki Welter, CPA will speak at the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants Not-for-Profit Conference to be held at the Bell Harbor International Conference Center in Seattle, November 20-21, 2014.

Vicki Welter, CPA, principal of Welter Consulting will be co-presenting “Less Paper, More Efficiency and No Findings,” a session that helps nonprofit organizations explore the benefits of electronic records and the positive impact electronic document management can have on the organization’s bottom line. Carolyn Hojaboom, CPA, MNPL of Ash Consulting is the co-presenter.

The session will take place on November 21 from 2:20 – 3:20 and is open to all conference attendees.

“This session will show nonprofit organizations how to minimize the inconveniences of creating, storing, and retrieving paper documents and how electronic document management can maintain or, often improve internal controls,” explains Welter. “Paper based document management is not only less efficient than electronic document management, it can be costly – staff time to create documents, photocopy, and monitor distribution, and paying rent for the space necessary to store physical documents – money nonprofits would prefer to direct to their missions.”

Vicki Welter is a member of the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants. Welter Consulting is a conference sponsor and will be exhibiting at the event.

“The Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, Welter Consulting and the wonderful nonprofit organizations of Washington are all dedicated to sharing, learning and implementing the best practices that will result in compliance and transparency of nonprofit financials, and also in leveraging those best practices so that nonprofits can provide more to their constituents,” says Welter.
